From Wilm On Film:
The television adaptation of Stephen King’s 2009 novel “Under the Dome” begins shooting its pilot episode at the end of the week.
The director of the pilot episode is an interesting choice – Niels Arden Oplev, the Danish director who helmed the original adaptation of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” in 2009. Oplev’s version was successful both critically and successfully but also visually arresting.
Oplev has a new film coming out, “Dead Man Down,” due March 8th. It stars Colin Farrell, Terence Howard and Noomi Rapace (2009’s “Dragon Tattoo”) about a tough enforcer named Victor (Farrell) for a New York City mob boss (Howard). The mob boss is the man responsible for the death of Victor’s wife and daughter. Seeking revenge, he joins with Beatrice (Rapace) also looking for revenge against the same boss.
