Tickets for “A Conversation with Stephen King” at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell will go on sale Today at 10 a.m. The event will take place on Friday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tsongas Center on the university’s campus.
King’s appearance is scheduled to be the inaugural event in the university’s “Chancellor’s Speaker Series.” Proceeds will go toward scholarships.
Tickets are $32 for general admission and $52 for reserved floor seating. They will be available at the Tsongas Center box office at www.tsongascenter.com or by calling 866-722-8780.
King, who lives in Bangor, will donate his speaking-engagement fee and at least $5 from every ticket sold will go toward a new UMass/Lowell scholarship fund endowed by King and his wife, Tabitha.
Audience members will hear King read his work, get to ask him questions and listen to him discuss his passion for writing and his advice for aspiring authors. The evening will be moderated by author Andre Dubus III, a professor in the university’s English Department.
